This Honda Civic Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher Circuit was taken from a Honda Civic 2006 Service Manual. This circuit diagram may be applicable to the Honda Civic 2006 to 2011 (Eight Generation or Honda Civic FD).
The Left Turn Signal Lights are composed of the following lights:
- Left Front Turn Signal Light
- Left Rear Turn Signal Light
- Left Side Turn Signal Light (or Left Mirror Turn Signal Light on some models)
In the same manner, the Right Turn Signal Lights are composed of the following lights:
- Right Front Turn Signal Light
- Right Rear Turn Signal Light
- Right Side Turn Signal Light (or Right Mirror Turn Signal Light on some models)
As shown in the diagram below, the turn signal lights are controlled by the MICU (Multiplex Integrated Control Unit). The MICU is located on the back of the under-dash fuse/relay box. The MICU monitors the Turn Signal Switch and turns on the corresponding Turn Signal Lights (either left or right) via the Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher. At the same time, the MICU also monitors the push button Hazard Warning Switch. If it finds that the switch is turned on, it commands the Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher to flash both the left and right turn signal lights.
The MICU and the Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher Circuit are powered directly from the battery via separate fuses. Also, another B+ line passes thru the Ignition Switch to supply other parts of the MICU system.
